High School Admission Policies

It is of paramount importance that a Christian school (WCA) be supported by a Christian home and a Christian church. All three /files/WCA/Students/admissions_high.JPGshould be complementary, which means that all three should be in Biblical agreement for a truly well rounded education of the student. It is therefore necessary that the parents agree with the philosophy and teaching of our school. Although we fully understand that children are in the process of being trained and although we recognize the vital role of the Christian school in this training, it must be understood that we are not a reform school, that we are not the solution for troubled students and that the student must want to embrace the teachings of Jesus Christ!

In addition, because of our commitment to academic excellence, a student's academic ability and motivation to succeed are important factors when being considered for enrollment at Westminster Christian Academy School.

The following admission policies have been adopted to assure consistent standards of admission in agreement with the doctrine, philosophy and bylaws of Westminster Christian Academy.

1. All families should be in regular, active fellowship with a local Bible-believing church.

2. Both parents/guardians must be present for the interview with the Admission Committee / Administration. Only in exceptional situations will an allowance be made!

4. Applications will only be considered by the Admissions Committee when all the following have been received:

  • Application
  • Pastoral Recommendation
  • School Administrator's Recommendation
  • Copy of last report card
  • Copy of standardized test results
  • Proof of Immunizations
  • Signature of Parents'/ Guardians' Commitment of Support
  • Signature of Student Agreement of Conduct
  • Paid Registration Fee

Students will be accepted in the order in which the application and registration fees were received.

a. Students of school families have priority over students of prospective school families on the waiting list.
b. When teachers and staff at WCA apply for admission of their first child, they will be considered to be a school family so as to have priority accorded to a school family.

5. The school has full discretion for the grade placement of children.

6. Westminster Christian Academy does not discriminate on the basis of race, ethnic or national origin in the administration of its policies, programs and scholarships. WCA reserves the right to select students on the basis of academic performance, religious commitment and personal qualification.
